The Club enjoys a strong following of almost 100 members flying radio-controlled planes, gliders (slope and thermal soaring), helicopters, as well as a small group of dedicated free flight and control-line enthusiasts.  Competitions in various model classes such as aerobatics, scale, pylon, and vintage are held throughout the year.

The WMAC Flying Field and Clubhouse at Trentham

A warm welcome is extended to past, present and potential members.  Please come to our next monthly club meeting (everyone is welcome at our club meetings, whether you are a member or not), or visit one of our flying fields, to meet us and learn more about how you can learn to fly.

The Club meets at 8pm on the last Wednesday of each month (except November and December) at the Belmont Memorial Hall, Lower Hutt.  Meetings are informal and usually have a particular focus, a guest speaker or workshop session.

Belmont Memorial Hall is situated adjacent on the eastern side of State Highway 2 (Western Hutt Road) adjacent to Belmont School.  Please note: Vehicle access to the hall parking area is from Fairway Drive, not SH 2.
